Also be careful of Avianca employees who will try to rip you off on departure tax (if you're in Colombia for less than 30 days you can get an "extencion" which makes departure tax $32, not $60) but they will not tell you this and charge you full price! These doors must weigh only a couple of pounds. And for sure, the taxi drivers get very upset if you slam it. More often than not, when they know you are a Gringo they will do their best to close the door themselves.
