I moved to Bogota almost two years ago, and had intended to write a blog with my impressions from the first day. But like many good-intentioned ideas, it didn’t happen that way. So, I had lived here almost 18 months before I started writing on a regular basis. So, the topics are somewhat random, but they’re my thoughts about things in and out of the city, some important, some very unimportant, that just happen to come to mind.

Comments are welcome, questions, too, I suppose.

I like living in Bogota and I like travelling, but I’m not exactly the most adventurous traveller in the world. I like seeing out-of-the-way places, but only if the trouble it takes is not too extreme.

I’ve always liked visiting other places, but also enjoyed them more when I felt like I could live there, even for a short time. So, in the US, I used to like to trade my apartment with people in other cities, or, now that Craigslist is around, maybe rent somebody’s place for a few days, rather than stay in a hotel.
